I’ve noticed that when he demonstrates, sometimes I can see Doshu slide slightly to the side of Uke as he applies the nikyo pressure. It is just an adjustment, but even as an adjustment there is insight into desired alignment. Nikyo is definitely not done while facing Uke – I already know this. Watching these micro adjustments gives me ideas about to achieve the “S” shape and where to apply pressure for nikyo. Ura at [01:54] and [02:39].
